Moment of joy as 240 pass 6th year exams, await graduation

It was a joyous moment for 240 Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) at the School of Medicine after they successfully passed the final exams paving way for their graduation next month.

The results were released via a notice from the Dean’s office on 18th November, 2020. The notice indicated that the candidates had satisfied the School Board of Examiners during the 2019/2020 Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery Sixth Year Examinations and are recommended to be awarded the degree.

First Years' Online Registration, Orientation, and Learning 2020

The Academic Year 2020/2021 will commence on Monday 31 August 2020 and the first thing you need is your letter of Admission.  If you do not have your letter of admission, please write an email to admissions@uonbi.ac.ke with details of your name, programme to which you have been admitted to and KCSE Index Number..

Orientation, registration, classes and examination will all be exclusively be conducted online via various virtual platforms.

SOM alumnus lands job at Nairobi Metropolitan Services

Dr. Fredrick Ouma Oluga has been appointed as the Chief Officer of Health in the newly created Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS).
The appointment was announced in a circular dated 23rd March, 2020 from the Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua.
Dr. Oluga has been serving as the Kenya Medical Practitioners Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) as Secretary General.
He is an alumnus of the University of Nairobi School of Medicine where he graduated with Masters in Medicine (Internal Medicine) during the University's 62 graduation ceremony held on 20th December, 2019.

AMSUN gets new leaders after competitive election

Amir Mumin is the new Chairman of the Association of Medical Students of the University of Nairobi (AMSUN) after he vied for the post unopposed in the elections that were held on 8th October, 2019.

Mutua Victor and  Nyakio Mburu are AMSUN’s 1st Vice Chair and 2nd Vice Chair respectively also having for the respective posts unopposed.
